Protests and demonstrations of support during the visit of President Maduro in Ecuador
Dozens of people gathered on the outside of the Embassy of Venezuela in Quito to reject the presence of Nicolas Maduro in the capital.
“Out Maduro” and “Leopoldo friend, Ecuador is with you,” chanted the protesters who did not mind the rain and remained in the embassy, located in the Eloy Alfaro and Amazonas avenues, with whistles, flags and banners, despite the heavy rain that hit the capital Monday afternoon.
In the social network Twitter several hashtags were created to reject the visit of the Venezuelan president: #NiVerdeNiMaduro; #FueraMaduroFuera; and #EcuadorconLeopoldo (#NoGreenNoMaduro; #OutMaduroOut; #EcuadorwithLeopoldo).
In contrast to these protests, from early afternoon, waving tricolor flags, supporters shouted in favor of Nicolas Maduro at the Independence Square.
