PSY

The name of the South Korean artist Park Jae-Sang, world known as PSY who became famous for his theme ‘Gangnam Style’, figure from today within the list of illustrious figures that can be found in the online edition of the British Encyclopedia, the  oldest in English, due to his international fame.

Psy, 36 years old, appears as “singer and South Korean rapper” that “despite being known initially as a hip-hop satirical and controversial artist in his country, achieved the international fame in 2012” after his humorous song ‘Gangnam Style’ that surpassed the 1,500 million visits and became the most visited video clip in the history of youtube

However, he surpassed his own record in mid-April, because of his new track “Gentleman” that reached the 100 million views in just six days, while it took 51 days for  “Gangnam Style”  to reach this figure.

On the other hand, since today the singer  features a 26-page comic that describes the ten years of his life, since  2002 when he was arrested for possession of marijuana until 2012 when he reached his success. The comic book was published under the name of “Fame: Psy”, according to the the local agency Yonhap.
