Rafael Nadal prepares for ‘Big Test’
The Spanish Rafael Nadal, who played today with a bandage on his left knee, returned to competition last month after recovering from a recurring injury (patellar tendon and Hoffa syndrome by fat accumulation in the area) for which he remained seven months sidelined of the fields.
In his return, the fifth best player in the world, on Saturday, defeated his compatriot David Ferrer, fourth in the Mexican Tennis Open and now is heading to the first Masters 1000 of the season, the Indian Wells (California ), that will be played between March 7 -17.
That tournament, as stated in a press conference, will be a “big test” for Nadal, and the match in Madison Square Garden against the Argentine Juan Martin Del Potro served as preparation fo Indian Wells, since it will be the first time he will play on hard surface this year.
