Reasons to leave Alianza PAIS in the last year were diverse

Disaffiliation from Alianza PAIS (AP) in the last year emerged from Santo Domingo de los Tsachilas, Cotopaxi, Azuay, Guayas and Galapagos.
The management of local boards and positions in the public administration, the constitutional amendments and the legislation promoted by the regime are some of the reasons.
The latest defectors were assembly members Oswaldo Larriva (Azuay) and Fernando Bustamante (Pichincha).
Larriva complained that a “group” took the party leadership and charges in the province, “excluding, even, the founders of the movement” and that caused not only their disaffiliation but the alienation of many who “have not disaffiliated, but it can be noticed there is no closeness since nine years ago.”
