Red alert for high turbidity in the Daule River

Posted On 21 Mar 2017
At 10:22 on March 20, Interagua reported in a newsletter issued on its Twitter account the high levels of turbidity of the Daule River, which caused the announcement of a red alert.
According to the Bulletin, 2,130 NTU (turbidity control parameters) were recorded on the Daule River. As a result of this, Interagua reported that the pumping system would be reduced and therefore, the drinking water service in Suburbio, Nobol and Samborondon will be restricted.
On March 9 a similar situation occurred, causing the restriction of the service in several sectors of the city. The average turbidity level parameter is 700 NTU and 1500 as the maximum range allowed to process drinking water.
