Reinaldo Rueda Highlights the Good Times of Ecuador and Puts his Faith in Benítez

The coach of Ecuador, Reinaldo Rueda, highlights the great moment the Ecuadorian team is going trough, and the importance of the friendly matches with Germany and Spain that will take place  in May and August respectively.

Rueda, however, emphasizes and asks the Ecuadorian fans and his players not to lose focus on the Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifying, which he described as the main objective. With seven rounds still remaining, the ‘Tri’ is second in the qualifying scoreboard of South America. The Colombian Technical Director needs the nine points as locals to get the ticket to Brazil, but Rueda warns that the road is not easy. Ecuador will play against Paraguay, Argentina and Uruguay at home, but the Colombian Coach prefers not to think on other selections and prioritizes the game against the Charruas on march 26.

About Christian “Chucho” Benitez, the coach ensures that the fans have been very hard with him, perhaps they are still billing him for the last  World Cup, but he is confident about him being in a consolidation process because he has scoring conditions, but have to keep trying. At some point we will score the most important goal and we all will embrace, Rueda said.
