Report of PC indicates that Bonilla has more space in public media
The candidate for mayor of Guayaquil by Alianza PAIS-Democratic Centre, Viviana Bonilla, was seen and heard much more in the public media than the other three aspirants to that dignity, during the three weeks of electoral campaign.
As measured by Citizen Participation (PC), from January 7 to 28, the report indicates that Bonilla had 109 minutes in news, opinion and debate programs at the state channel and the two seized by the state.
Meanwhile, the candidate for reelection by the PSC-MG alliance, Jaime Nebot, has only had 26 minutes, followed by Eduardo Alvarez (PK) that has appeared 16 minutes, and Balerio Estacio, from the Socialist Party, with 13 minutes.
For Kleber Loor, deputy director of Alianza PAIS movement in Guayas, the appearance of the candidates in the media whether public or private depends on where the candidate feels he is “treated better”.
For his part, Alfredo Serrano, executive director of the PSC, said that in this election campaign there is an unfair competition “for the abuses made by the Government of the state apparatus”.
