Posted On 09 Dec 2014
It is expected for the judges of the Criminal Division of the National Court to resolve today the request for a mistrial in the Cofiec case. Eight people were called to trial for alleged embezzlement process, five of them as alleged perpetrators and three as accomplices.
Yesterday, at the hearing, the court chaired by Jorge Blum gave the floor to the advocates, who insisted that in order for a linked credit to exist it should exist a document that qualifies it as such.
The prosecutor Galo Chiriboga reiterated, however, that there were no guarantees to support the payment of $ 800,000 that Cofiec granted to Duzac.
