Richard Martínez replaces María Elsa Viteri in the Ministry of Economy

The President of the Republic, Lenin Moreno, appointed Richard Martínez as the new Minister of Economy, who previously served as head of the Ecuadorian Business Committee.

The announcement was made by the National Communication Secretariat. In the statement also highlighted the gratitude of President Moreno to Maria Elsa Viteri, who left the position of Minister of Economy after two months in office.

In his Twitter account, the new Minister thanked President Moreno for his trust in the appointment and also promised to guarantee the sustainability of public finances. (I)
