Rolando Panchana let the governor of Guayas

Yesterday was announced the resignation of Roland Panchana as governor of
Guayas. The National Secretary of Policy , Viviana Bonilla, announced at a press
conference that he accepted the resignation of Panchana and Julio Cesar Quinonez
confirmed as his replacement.
The resignation of Panchana according Bonilla said due to his statements about change
of venue to the Mass of Pope Francisco unsubstantiated while visiting Guayaquil.
Julio Cesar Quinonez, the new governor, was Chief of Police of Guayas from October 2008 to April 2012 and from August 2012
until this morning he served as technical secretary for the Prevention of irregular settlements.
