Russia awaits extradition of Ivan Savkic

Russia hopes that Ecuador approve the extradition of the Yugoslav Ivan Savkic arrested in 2012 for drug trafficking, said the Ambassador in Quito, Yan Burlilla tonEcuadoradio.

He considers that Savkic is a mobster who exports 30% of the drugs to Russia and is therefore a very important character in that world. He pointed out that the National Court has already approved the extradition, and that this is in the hands of the President of the Republic.
In his opinion, the new threats facing the world are terrorism, drug trafficking and organized crime. The Ambassador also highlighted the state of the relations with Ecuador in economic, commercial, scientific, culture and University matters .
