Safety nets are removed from the Atahualpa Stadium
Posted On 21 Jan 2014
The safety nets that surrounded the Atahualpa Olympic stadium field began to be removed this Tuesday morning as part of the campaign “Never confuse passion with violence,” which seek to eliminate violence at sporting scenarios in the country.
The decision was taken by the municipal ordinance 267, which calls for the withdrawal of the fences of the sporting venue and create additional security measures for the attendees.
This was decided by members of the Ministry of Security, Sports and the administrators of the Atahualpa Stadium and the Sports Concentration of Pichincha during a meeting this morning.
In this way the Atahualpa Stadium will be the pioneer of the safety campaign, which will be presented tomorrow by the Ministry of Sport.
