Santos and Zuluaga closed election campaign in Colombia
Posted On 09 Jun 2014
Last Sunday the Colombian candidate-president Juan Manuel Santos and his rival Oscar Ivan Zuluaga disputed the last votes in the closure of the campaign for the presidential elections to be held next Sunday.
Both culminated in Tunja, Boyacá department capital, a major agricultural pantry in the country.
“I reiterate my commitment to farmers in Colombia recovering and strengthening the agricultural sector,” Zuluaga said in a public square in Tunja, while across town, Santos promised subsidies to farmers to buy fertilizers and emphasized the progress of the peace negotiations with the FARC.
