Colombian President, Juan Manuel Santos, revealed today that he has a cancerous tumor in the prostate gland and that he will undergo surgery tomorrow in Bogota.

Santos informed that the tumor was detected through a biopsy and, despite not being a malignant tumor, it must be removed.

The surgery, said the president, will be held at the Santa Fe de Bogotá Foundation “with regional anesthesia which keeps the state of consciousness before, during and after the procedure.” (MZ)
