Schiess Is the New Miss Americas

Yesterday, Claudia Schiess, Miss Ecuador 2011, was elected as the new Miss American Continent.

The event was held at the Simon Bolivar Convention Center and the animation was in charge of Miss American Continent second finalist 2010, Mexican Carla Carrillo and Ecuadorian TV anchor Roberto Rodriguez.

This reign was aimed at granting charitable funds raised for the creation of a cancer center in Santa Cruz island, in Galapagos.
