Selection process for General Attorney was resumed
Francia Alarcon, Judge 5th of Transit, dismissed the application that was looking for the reinstatement of one of the contenders, so this morning it was restored the process for the selection of a candidate for the new Attorney General’s Office.
Alarcon, who came directly to the audience to read her verdict, did not admit the protective action by Dimitri Duran for his return to the competition; with this the suspension of the process was raised. Dimitri Duran, who filed the protective action was not satisfied and announced he would appeal.
On the other hand, the President of the Selection Committee, Ulbio Guadalupe, said that so far 27 candidates are maintained despite the public resignations of Xavier Zavala and Juan Vizueta and insisted that the whole process has been transparent.
Attorney Selection Committee shall be presented this afternoon before the Council of Citizen Participation to provide explanations for changes in the scoring of candidates.
