Shrimp and banana are the best export products from Ecuador
Posted On 14 Mar 2016
The fall in the economy could have been greater than the 4.78% recorded last year, if it wasn’t for the two stars of the Ecuadorian export sector: bananas and shrimp.
While illiquidity took umbrage with the public sector, the ports located at the south of Guayaquil faced this situation with increased demand for these two goods refrigerated containers, which cushioned the fall in the transportation of goods.
The statistics from 2015, which was provided to Daily Expreso, revealed that the city and state (Simon Bolivar), mobilized indeed 1’621.381 containers in 2014, but last year rose to 1’704.730 demand for good bananas and shrimps.
