ELN attacks Ipiales office of Orlando Ibarra

The Ecuadorian Orlando Ibarra arrived to Ecuador where he said that the guerrilla murdered his father Sigifredo Ibarra. “I heard the news on the radio while remaining captive by ELN.”

The father of Orlando Ibarra died on January 31 by bullet wounds that he received in Ipiales after paying the demanded ransom of four million dollars.

Sigifredo Ibarra was a prosper and renowned businessman of an international transportation company in his province Carchi.

On June 2011, an explosive package detonated in the office of his transportation company in Ipiales causing the destruction of the main building, leaving two guards injured. AV
