Silver dollar coins are circulating in Ecuador

In the course of this week Ecuadorians may use the new silver-colored $1 coins, which are of course legal, just like the Golden ones used since  may 2012 and have the image of 20 former Presidents of the United States.

Silver coins known as “Dollar SBA”.  are part of the series “Presidents of the United States”, which were minted between 2007 and  2011, as a way of paying homage to those who were leaders of that country.

This silver coin is engraved with the face of Susan B. Anthony on the obverse and an eagle holding an olive branch in the other side. Anthony was an American feminist who fought for the rights of women in the  XIX century, but mainly to ensure the right to vote of  women.

The Central Bank of Ecuador reported that they have  machines available that change bills for coins, in order to facilitate the Exchange, and are located in the agencies of the entity.
