So Far This Year, Tax Collection Grew 6.6% in Ecuador

The Ecuadorian Internal Revenue Service (SRI) reported that the first four months of this year compared to 2010, there were increases of 6.6% in tax collections in Ecuador.
Between January and April this year 2010 there have been $ 3,053 million collected in net tax revenue compared with the $ 2,863 million reported last year.
The Ecuadorian government has developed a series of mechanisms to monitor the payment of taxes and reduce tax evasion levels in large economic groups. Only in April of this year, revenue totaled $ 1,074 million.
