Socialist Hollande Triumphed in French Elections
François Hollande became the new president of France after defeating in the last Sunday elections his opponent and former president Nicolas Sarkozy. Hollande started his campaign when Dominique Strauss-Kahn lost his presidential bid to a sex-scandal in New York, USA.
“The French people want coherence, stability and justice,” assured Hollande said to his voters, meanwhile political analysts believe those declarations could imply a resurgence of the socialist policies of the past. These beliefs were reinforced his first speech towards the economy sector “I don’t want to frighten the markets, I don’t want to cause any trouble, but I want to implement order and rules.”
During his campaign Hollande promised a project of law in 2013 which would be in honor of the equality. The new president also promised the right for couples of the same sex to marry and adopt normally. There other promises like the legalization of the euthanasia.
Hollande explained that his belief in the freedom of the spirits of light which maintains the every person is owner of their private life, with the State as guarantor of those freedoms. (AV)
