Soil slope affects low gas production in El Oro plant
Posted On 21 Aug 2017
Ecuadornews:

The Bajo Alto liquefaction plant for natural gas, which began operating at the end of 2011, has several ground unevennesses that have led to a reduction in the production from 200 tons of gas per day to 120, officials reported.
“One of the problems is the sinking, the authorities are already aware and are taking corrective action,” said José Villao, head of the plant.
The Minister of Hydrocarbons Carlos Perez visited the facilities of this plant last Thursday and verified the sinkings. “The study schedule should be made to take corrective actions, the plant activities should be suspended,” Villao said. (I)
