Spain, Correa’s new destination in search of educational agreements
In order to promote projects for the improvement of education and research in the country, President Rafael Correa will travel to Spain to seek support for new local universities.
These institutions are Yachay (City of Knowledge) in Imbabura, Ikiam (Amazon Region) in Tena and the National University of Education (UNAE) in Azogues.
The Government at that time searched in that country fourth level teachers and then reached an agreement with the Universities of Spain Foundation, subordinate to the Ministry of Education of the Spanish Government, in order fot the new Ecuadorian teachers to take training courses.
The agreement enables access by Ecuadorians to master’s degrees in education and was signed on January 27 of this year.
This week is expected to sign agreements with three Iberian universities, the Independent and the Complutense of Madrid, and the University of Barcelona.
