Spain is leading group I after beating France
Never in history the world champion has not been able to defend its title. Spain was obligated to beat France in Paris and they did it. A great goal from Pedro met resolved a rough game, extremely tactical and well played by Spain in a demanding environment.

Pedro Rodriguez Celebrating Spain only goal
Spain, also becomes the first country with fifty consecutive matches without losing in the qualifiers for the World Cup. We have to go back in time, to March 31 of 1993 to find its last defeat. It was in Copenhagen, with a goal of Povlsen.
Yesterday’s victory is very important because it allows Spain to depend on itself. The team of Del Bosque knows that if they win the three matches remaining they will be in Brazil 2014 no matter what France does. The Red team is the leader of the group alone and now does not have to be aware of the goal difference.
The final stretch of the group will be decided between September and October. Spain will visit Finland and then will receive Belarus and Georgia. The French calendar seems more complicated, with two visits (Georgia and Belarus) and a final match at home with Finland.
