Posted On 01 Jul 2012
This afternoon Spain became the new champion of Euro 2012, being the first to win the title for two consecutive time. Spain beat Italy by 4-0.
With goals from David Silva (minute 14), Jordi Alba (minute 30), Fernando Torres (minute 84) and Juan Mata (minute 88), the Spanish team won this great final at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev, revalidating its title achieved in 2008.
Italy resigned in the last half hour, after being left with ten players because of Thiago Motta‘s injury. Finally Motta’s muscle injury forced Italy to undergo the three changes allowed.
