Spotify Is Now in The U.S.

Spotify, the Internet music service, arrived yesterday to the United States, this is the eighth country in which it operates.

The Swedish company was founded by Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon in 2008 to fight piracy and has become the second largest single source of digital music revenue for record companies in Europe, informed company sources.

Spotify currently has 10 million registered users and 1.6 million paying subscribers in Spain, Finland, France, Norway, Netherlands, UK and Sweden, and its users can access around 15 million songs.
