Statements of the 10 suspects in the Luluncoto Case Luluncoto concluded

Yesterday, the adjudication hearing against the “10 of Luluncoto“, which was developed at the National Court in Quito, was reinstalled (for the tenth time).

Six of the ten defendants: Fadua Tapia, Santiago Gallegos, Cesar Zambrano, Hector Estupiñan, Luis Merchan and Royce Gomez were the last ones in giving their testimonies.

The stage of final arguments made by the prosecution and the six lawyers of the suspects, is expected to open today.

While conducting the hearing, outside the Court, a group of about 20 people, including parents of Cristina Campaña, one of the suspects, and the singer Jaime Guevara, displayed banners calling for freedom of the “10 of Luluncoto “.

In the past two weeks, four of the defendants gave their testimonies, including Abigail Heras and Cristina Campaña, who remain in prison.
