Swiss Bank initiates actions to collect debt

After Argentina went into the red zone with the default caused by the unpaid speculative bonds, the first moves for a possible implementation of the titles began to be recorded, with the ones Argentina renegotiated its debt, said Argentina´s newpaper La Nación.

The Swiss bank USB began its efforts to find out if they can claim to be paid in advance the debt Argentina held with them.

The Bank of New York (BoNY) confirmed yesterday that it will not pay the $ 539 million for restructured bonds of Argentina’s debt, which were blocked by Judge Thomas Griesa.

“Following previous orders of the court, the trustee (the paying agent) continues withholding the funds,” said BoNY.

The Buenos Aires stock market closed yesterday with a landslide of 8.43% on the first day of partial default.
