Syria Abandons UN Chamber During Debate
This Tuesday the debate performed by the UN Human Rights Council to approach the violence lived in Syria was seen as a ‘pointless debate’ that only seeks to augment the armed rebellion.
“The only objective of this period of sessions is to increase the flames of terrorism and augment the crisis in my country with measure that support armed groups.” Said the Syrian ambassador, Faisal al-Hamwi, afterwards he left the chamber.
Al-Hamwi warned that “the serious distortions of the concepts of humanitarian protection and civil protection, which have been used as arguments to support some countries armed interventions and change regimes.”
The Syrian ambassador informed that the unilateral economic sanctions imposed unfairly by some countries detain the access of medicines, food and fuel. Which represents the worst violation of human rights because they harm the population. (AV)
