Posted On 19 Dec 2011
Syria has permitted an Arab observer mission into the country. This action ended the weeks of prevarication proposed by the Arab League to adopt sanctions over the government’s crackdown on protests.
Syria’s deputy foreign minister, Faisal al-Maqdad, and Ahmed Ben Helli, the Arab League assistant secretary-general wrote the document at the League headquarters in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
