Syrian Army Killed Scores of Civilians in Homs

Posted On 09 Feb 2012

For the sixth day, the government forces in Syria shelled the city of Homs. Activists informed that 110 people in Homs died this Thursday due to the army attacks.

Omar Shakir, a survivor of such attacks told Al Jazeera, “They targeted my neighbor’s house with rockets. I saw it with my own eyes.” Reports about hospitalized victims informed that there is medicine in pharmacies, but getting it to the field clinics is a difficult task.

Meanwhile the medicines in the city hospitals are running out. Recent events revealed that reaching hospitals is too dangerous for rescuers since the buildings are also taking fire. (AV)
