QUITO, Ecuador

Later this year, each member of the assembly will receive a tablet with applications such as agenda, email, internet, video-conference, mobile communications, radio, television, skype, video call, translators and Assembly apps.

This will be done at a cost of $ 250,000, which represents 142 tablets:

  • 124 for lawmakers
  • 14 for directors and area managers
  • 2 for technology services
  • 2 for the General Secretariat of the Assembly.
  • Also 30 laptops will be purchased.

The order was passed by the Legislative Administration Council (CAL for its Spanish acronym) last August 8. (MZ)
