Taxis paralyzed their activities until 11:00 in Quito

Carlos Brunis, president of the CTTP and former Legislator candidate representing the Creo movement, warned that members of more than 316 cooperatives in the city would join the de facto measure to demand the city hall tighter controls on illegal taxis.
The leader said that the lack of control is directly affecting 15 000 taxi drivers who will not work today and will circulate in caravans leaving from 16 points of the city.
According to reports, taxi drivers were divided into 16 groups that will be concentrated in these points of the city: Carcelén interchange, Carcelén Terrestrial Terminal, 6 de Diciembre Avenue and Galo Palaza Lasso, Caracen Caracoles Redondel, Diario Hoy, Centro Comercial El Bosque, Vista Hermosa, Parque Italia, Guajaló Bridge, Guamaní, Ciudadela del Ejército, Camal Metropolitano, Mariscal Sucre Avenue and De los Libertadores (School Paulo VI), Jardín del Valle and El Condado redondel.
