The offices of the Cedatos Pollster were raided after a court order

Posted On 07 Apr 2017
A group of police officers surrounded the building where the Cedatos polling company has its offices at noon today.
Almost immediately and abruptly, members of the prosecutor’s office entered the place, accompanied by several policemen, “to comply with an order of seizure,” to investigate an alleged social commotion.
At the request of Legislature vice president Rosana Alvarado (Alianza PAIS), who says that it is important to obtain physical, documentary and digital information from Cedatos, the Public Prosecutor’s Office proceeded to raid the Comonsa building in Quito, where the pollster works.

In addition, the order requests the seizure of the computers of its director Carlos Polivio Cordova and of at least three other employees.
At the request of Alvarado, the Livercostas company was also raided, which is owned by Fernando Correa, akin to CREO because he worked in the Guayaquil Bank (owned by presidential hopeful Guillermo Lasso, who allegedly paid seven million dollars). The request ensures that “it has been possible to establish the connection of the facts with the malicious modification of the pollsters.”
