Testimony of the Valdiviezo family is not taken into account in the process

After Alfredo Valdiviezo, brother of the murdered journalist, Fausto Valdiviezo, gave his version yesterday to the prosecutor, the lawyer Hector Vanegas defender Ingrid Leon Bermudez, one of the suspects arrested for the crime, allegedly revealed a document version, which is not on the investigative process.

It is the free and voluntary version of Pedro Cesar Jimenez Avelino, stepfather of Valdiviezo’s ex-wife, Maria Veronica Uquillas Alvarez. She gave her testimony in the judicial police on May 17, in which she named Carlos Coello, director of TC My Channel, media owned by the State.

“I can also report that in one of the many visits he made to my home Fausto Valdiviezo report that I knew he was doing some research of Carlos Coello, manager of Channel 10, whom I do not know, but he would obtained farms, cars and he was close to get a yacht, when he came to work there without having anything he could tell me without showing any document…”

Vanegas said Jimenez’s version does not appear in any of the ten bodies that so far make up the process. Regarding the issue, Julio Cesar Cueva, representative of the Valdiviezo Moscoso family, said he expects the prosecution request Coello’s version and that Jimenez version is added.
