Ecuadornews:
In the presence of about 300 producers from the maize, rice, banana, and livestock industries, among others, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG) held yesterday in Guayaquil the National Agriculture and Livestock Dialogue with farmers from the province of Guayas.
The event was attended by the head of the MAG Vanessa Cordero, who said that this initiative aims to know the needs that afflict each agricultural sector and to systematize their proposals for the Development Agenda of the state body.
In the Agricultural Dialogue of Guayas, which will end on the 24th of this month, 12 technical tables were formed to address issues of agriculture, land, irrigation endowment, credit solution, commercialization and others.
Cordero said that after the proposals are systematized, a final document will be drawn up to define how to solve each agricultural problem. “The dialogue table will operate at the national level; we are collecting and systematizing the proposals and then take the respective measures to benefit the farmers,” Cordero said.
