The award of the Posorja Port was signed, and its validity will be in force until 2066

With the presence of the president of DP World Investments BV, Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, the signing of the Posorja Port contract for 50 years, with a validity until 2066, was signed on Monday. Private operator DP World Posorja SA, which is part of DP World of Dubai, will carry out the works. This is the first agreement under the model of public-private partnerships, adopted in the legislation last year.
In the yellow room of the Palace of Carondelet, President Rafael Correa pointed out that construction of the Posorja Port is important and urgent to receive the Post Panamax ships.
Ecuador will receive 3.500 million for revenues and the port concession, which is expected to be completed in 3 years. The contract foresees an investment of $ 1,200 million.
