The Bar Association and Fundamedios denounce criminal charges against Carlos Ochoa
Posted On 02 Aug 2016
Fundamedios and the Pichincha Bar Association have filed a criminal complaint against Carlos Ochoa, the superintendent of Communication, for allegedly altering a transitional provision of the Communications Act. That is, for the possible crime of forgery of public documents.
This alteration would have occurred when printing 300,000 legislation pocketbooks. The serious thing is that with this alteration 11 media were fined during 2016.
That’s why the plaintiffs of this criminal action ask the OTP to investigate the possible forgery of public documents and their use by Ochoa. This, according to Article 328 of the Criminal Integral Organic Code in which that offense is punishable.
