The customs office started the issuance of tax credit
Xavier Cardenas, director of the national customs office of Ecuador (SENAE), reported yesterday that from today the entity will issue the certificate of tax payment, in order to compensate the exporter sector affected by the expiration of the Atpdea (Andean Trade and eradication of Drugs Act), whose benefits ended on July 31.
The official noted that those certificates are intended for 650 exporting companies and apply for 166 products. The list of companies is attached to the 105 resolution of the Committee of foreign trade, which was issued last month.
Cardenas said that from today exporters may download a form that will be posted in the website of the customs office, and once filled, it can be submitted digitally or at the teller windows of the institution.
In addition, he explained that at the end of the process of regularization of the customs declaration system, Ecuapass will create the credit memo, and thereafter employers can use the document to cancel debts with the Senae, Internal Revenue Service (SRI), institutions such as the national Finance Corporation (CFN), the Ecuadorian Housing Bank (BEV) and the National Development Bank (BNF).
