The threats specified that she would be “dragged” and her family tucked into black bags. The night of April 2, Ruth Hidalgo, director of the Citizen Participation Corporation, received was threatened after announcing the results of the fast count that organization did after the presidential elections: a technical tie.
In talks with Fundamedios, Hidalgo said she was threatened with death in two phone calls. The first to her cell phone and the second to her home number. In them, a man’s voice warned her: “I’m going to drag you whore from the right,” and that she and her family would be found in black bags.
The next day she was threatened again through a telephone call made to her home number and through social networks messages. Hidalgo rejected this type of political violence and assured that she will file a complaint when the spirits calm down.
