Ecuadornews:

Outgoing President Rafael Correa signed Thursday Executive Decree No. 1416 declaring the Festival of Live Arts of Loja as an “a priority and recurrent artistic event to be held annually during the month of November.”
On Twitter, the Head of State explained that “from the beginning, the centralism and vanity of certain groups that believe are the managers-owners of Culture, have tried to boycott the Festival of Live Arts of Loja.”
Correa added that despite the success of the first edition, “they do not want it to continue, they use any pretext.” The President said: “I just signed the decree giving the FAVL the status of a priority artistic event.” “Loja: defend your festival,” Correa wrote on the social network (I).
