The First Classic would be at Monumental Stadium

The Ecuadorian Championship of the Soccer “A” Series for the 2011 season would start with the Clasico del Astillero match between Barcelona and Emelec on February 20 in the field of Monumental Isidro Romero Carbo stadium.
The tournament would begin on the last weekend of January; Barcelona would challenge the Imbabura and Espoli team. The yellow team would play in their home against the teams of the city of Ibarra, while Emelec would face the Police teams.
The Ecuadorian champion Liga Deportiva Universitaria de Quito (LDU-Q) would debut on the field of the Olimpico stadium in Riobamba city for a match against Centro Deportivo Olmedo.
The most anticipated match is between Barcelona S.C. and the LDU-Q. The game would be played at the Casa Blanca stadium of the capital on the first weekend of February.
