The Guardian Newspaper makes correction requested by Rafael Correa
Posted On 05 Jul 2013
The British tabloid corrected on July 3rd, the headline of an article published about the President of Ecuador, Rafael Correa, after Correa said last July 2 through his Twitter account, that the newspaper took completely out of context the statements that he made in an interview.
The original version was ‘ We helped Snowden by mistake’ however, some foreign news agencies noted that The Guardian removed the headline and replaced it by ‘ Ecuador says it blundered over Snowden travel document’.
The official media ‘The citizen’ indicated that the translation had also other inaccuracies.
