The Kindle Library by Amazon
Posted On 03 Nov 2011
This Thursday Amazon announced that it has launched a Kindle lending library for the owners of the e-reader that are also subscribed to Amazon Prime service. Now Prime members can borrow one book a month, with no due dates.
During a press conference the company said that users are allowed to have one book out at a time, this would motivate the customer to later purchase or re-borrows the books. However the books are only available on Kindle devices.
This new service prepares the path for the launch of the Kindle Fire on November 15, a device that will deliver Amazon storefronts directly into the hands of thousands of customers. (AV)
