The last trip of the ‘Enterprise’ ferryboat
Posted On 27 Apr 2012
The spatial ferryboat Enterprise did its last trip mounted on a Boeing 747, before turning into piece of exhibition. The ship flew at a relatively low altitude over New York City.
The Enterprise is a prototype for tests that it never went to the space. The United States put end to its program of spatial ferryboats last year, for this reason it is distributing the ferryboats to museums.
Ten days ago the Discovery made its final flight in Washington; it included an air walk on the city.
The ship Enterprise will stay in exhibition for the public inside a temporary pavilion with controlled climate in the museum Intrepid. (PLS)
