El Universo Case: Prosecutor of Guayas called Judge Ex Encalada to Testify

Prosecutor of Guayas (e), Paul Ponce, issued a fiscal stimulus this morning in the preliminary investigation against Judge Juan Paredes, who condemned El Universo Newspaper in the first instance.

In the document Ponce called former judge Monica Encalada to give her version on Wednesday May 2. She handled the request of President Rafael Correa against the newspaper and on Friday released the video of an alleged meeting she had with Paredes.

Computer expert Enrique Ferruzola was also called to testify on Thursday May 3. He analyzed the hard drive of the XV Criminal Court of Guayas, where the sue of President Correa was in the first instance.

On Monday, the office holder, Antonio Gagliardo, will return to his post after a medical permission. (FL)
