After the minimum wage (mw) ascended from $ 318 to $ 340, automatically the values ​​of fines generated by traffic and municipal police, which are based on the mw, were also modified.

For example, third class violations, which amount to two basic salaries increased from $ 636 to $ 680.

Other major fines:

• Illegally parked cars. Fined with 50% of minimum wage.
• Pico and placa (ID Tags). The first offense is 33% of the mw, the second one gets 50%, and an entire mw after that.
• Transit. The cars that do not have municipal identification adhesives, are punishable with three minimum wages.
