The municipality notifies the expropriation of 34 properties for the construction of the Quito Cables project

34 properties have been expropriated by the municipality of the capital to carry out the mobility project Quito Cables. Last Friday (June 9) notifications were sent to the owners of the 16 properties with which the Metropolitan Public Company of Mobility and Public Works (Epmmop) could not reach a mutual agreement. The notifications are expected to reach all owners of these properties this week.

The expropriation process of the Quito Cables took about six months. It occurred amid protests from those affected, who despite receiving the notification are not willing to abandon their properties.
