The oil investment round begins today

The Government, through its public company Petroamazonas EP, will carry out from today until this Friday the Ronda Campos Menores 2017, whose aim is to obtain investments for a group of 15 fields, located in the provinces of Orellana and Sucumbíos.

According to the manager of Petroamazonas EP Alex Galárraga, the main objective is to increase the production of these areas, with the help of national and foreign companies. “We are looking for strategic partners that have the technical and economic conditions to develop these projects with social and environmental responsibility.”

The fields that will enter this round total 3P reserves (which are Tested, Prospective and Possible for its Spanish acronym) that produce 191.5 million barrels. The opening of the event is scheduled for today. (I)
