The polygraph test before the promotion to a headship

A change of command marked by commitments and reminders. The handover of ‘power’ of the Police High Command of the Zone 8 (Guayaquil, Duran and Samborondon) and the promotion of officers as district chiefs took place this way.

Declaimed speeches by police and Government authorities at the ceremony -held yesterday morning- in the main port reminded the police officers that their commitment to serve is only with the community.

General Edisson Barrera, incoming commander, chose to to be more specific. He mentioned some of the trust tests that the promoted police officers had to go through.

“These officers have completed a rigorous -he detailed- promotion process, a correspondence course in which their quality and operational management has been tested … And on the other hand, they have been subjected to a strict review process of their personal lives regarding the economic part.”
